Money Money Money

Todays prosperity pastors teach over-zealously on giving . . . and use odd kinds of strategies to get the money out of the member's pockets into the church coffers and the story stops there!
The rest of the money management is NOT for public (Church-members) scrutiny or questions. Some do ardently profess to be transparent and accountable but when its time for the 'rubber to meet the road' they dont keep to their promises.

I have got no problem with believers giving to ministry (thats if it is interpreted as service to mankind in the hope of bringing them to the knowledge of our God, Lord and Saviour JESUS CHRIST). But I am against what I visual as ' Nepoleon playing is fiddle when Rome is burning'.
The get-rich clergy surround themselves with extravagant luxuries that would even put fear into a poor member of their congregation if he were to visit the pastors domain or even eat at his table or even ride with him in his car.

Give, we must, but not to enrich these materialistic clerymen. We must GIVE to the naked, so that they can be clothed, give to the hungery, so that they may EAT, give to the thirsty, so that they may DRINK ~ thats the crucial question that would asked of you when you meet Him face-to-face.

But what Jesus say about GIVING ~ from all of you this old woman gave the most in percentage, we do it differently today . . . Today the crooked businessmen are applauded for the huge contributions and sit in 'spiritual high places'.
No man can serve two masters ~ the one master was our Lord and the other is MONEY, nowdays we are taught differently . . . money is everything we are taught!
Jesus said 'render unto Caesar what is Caesar's ~ today money-giving forms the centre piece during corporate worship sessions!
Jesus said 'it will be difficult for a RICH man to get to heaven (Because of the adverse effect money has on a human being) Today the rich men run the church irrespective of their spiritual lives . . .
Jesus said to the rich young lawgiver ' Sell what you have, give to the POOR (not Church) and follow me . . . today materialistic clergymen rob the poor of what is due to them.
Jesus said to the evangelists, preachers, teachers, pastors . . 'carry purse nor coat' today they want a whole wardrobe, expensive cars ans so forth and so forth . . . Yet Jesus had no place to rest His head ~ but changed the world!
So as I pen off, I declare that money must serve the needs of the GOSPEL but the GOSPEL must not serve money !!!!

Nepotism in Church.

I have been a victim for all of my ministry life. They will compliment me, congratulate me, abuse me but never will they want to acknowledge my gifting, use me or even send me.
I am therefore a first-hand witness of nepotism in Church an 'intentional overlooking'. This I know happens to many-a-prominent would-be effect Christian Leaders (Apostles, Pastors, Evangelists, Teachers & Prophets).

Similar to the man at the Pool of Bethesda ~ who waited for 38 long wasted years ~ The 'blind man' syndrome . . .

John 5:2 ¶ Now there is in Jerusalem by the sheep gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew Bethesda, having five porticoes.John 5:3 In these lay a multitude of those who were sick, blind, lame, and withered, [waiting for the moving of the waters;John 5:4 for an angel of the Lord went down at certain seasons into the pool and stirred up the water; whoever then first, after the stirring up of the water, stepped in was made well from whatever disease with which he was afflicted.]John 5:5 A man was there who had been ill for thirty-eight years.

Are you in Church, waiting for the pastor to call you, recommend you, certify you, validate you . . Are you waiting 'for the angel to shake the water'. Dont because souls are dying, the harvest is plentiful.

I want to qualify what I am saying here. NOT ALL Pastors hold back people from their calling but many many DO! You see these 'many many' I refer to are not careful guardians of the doctrines or souls as such, BUT are careful not to put more shepherds 'in the marketplace' ~
so as not to cause a decrease in their financial gains, to protect themselves from extinction, to avoid losing popularity, to avoid competition with their ministries. It is SAD.

Forget NOT !!! That Jesus will judge all of us ~ not by pew warmth, not by financial contribution, not by being in Church, NO NO NO . He is going to ask you and I this :

Matt 25:33-46 and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left. "Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.'For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.'"Then the righteous will answer Him, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 'And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 'When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'"The King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.'"Then He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.'"Then they themselves also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?' Now are you still waiting for ' the shaking of the water' DONT be a victim of Church Nepotism.

CALLING or CAREER?

John 10:12 & 13 "He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and is not concerned about the sheep.

With the increase in unemployment in most countries today, many people have turned their attention to the church for a career opportunity and have therefore passed through the hands of our Biblical Colleges, obtained certification and have been placed in CHURCHES. Now DONT get me wrong 'the harvest is indeed ready and true labourers are very few', I am of the strong conviction that all Christians are ANNOINTED and called into this ROYAL PRIESTHOOD. We are ALL co-labourers with GOD!

You see SHEPHERDS are CALLED - and HIRELINGS seek a career! Job 7:2 "As a slave who pants for the shade, And as a hired man who eagerly waits for his wages'. Today, in the last age of the Church - these hirelings have tainted the MEANING of CHURCH and have DE-THRONED God Almighty and have become demi-gods! They put FEAR into God's flock and FLEECE His sheep! They have become masters of THEATRICS!

The TEST.
But you say to me Brother Jordan, I dont see what you are saying. Yes quite true - its all about what YOU NOT SEEING. Here are some nice examples that verify John 10:

They DONT eagerly go out to rescue that ONE sheep.
They DONT want to pray with you when YOU need them.
They say ALL of us have faith - Whats wrong with your faith?
They claim all the Rights of an Employees (Day offs, 13th Cheque, Sick leave etc)
They eat well while their 'responsibilties' eat dry grass.
They live in EXTRAGAVANCE!
Many of them own other BUSINESSES and call it 'tent-making'
Many do not read, study, live the WORD!
They really dont care for PEOPLE!
Administrators, Entrepreneurs, Wealthy are NOT SHEPHERDS!
The list is endless . . . and it's time we take responsibility for TURNING the CHURCH around!

Jer 32:34 "But they put their detestable things in the house which is called by My name, to defile it.

Ezek 34:5 "They were scattered for lack of a shepherd, and they became food for every beast of the field and were scattered.

Dan 9:19 "O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and take action! For Your own sake, O my God, do not delay, because Your city and Your people are called by Your name."

Materialism

Matt 6:19 ¶ "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

When I was much much younger, I met a great Man of GOD that brought the Gospel to our community, John Francis Rowland. What amazed me about this man that every time I saw him he seemed to be wearing the same suit (very different from today's leaders) and although my encounters with him were very few and far between - He knew my full name! He knew everybody by their names (very different from today's leaders). The other day I was thinking about him, you know, he could have been a very very very rich somebody, but . . .
he never took time to accumulate wealth(very different from todat's leaders). His only 'hunger' was for souls, souls, souls! (very different from today's leaders) I become very sad when I draw a quick mental comparison of today's so called 'men of God' against the REAL 'Men of GOD'. I noticed that 90% of the pastors live in the affluent areas in the city while their churches and congregations are in the sprawling townships (please note that many hailed from these surburbs). Some of these 'ministers' have cars that cost so much, the money will feed the fifty odd street kids at the Chatsworth Centre for about 10 years. In the pastoral community itself in Durban and surrounding areas there is a distinctive competition amongst themselves, also not forgetting the huge divide between the have-it-alls and the have-it-not-alls.
If you reading this. You too will feel the urgency to set the church right-side-up!Lord help us!

Matt 6:24 ¶ "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
Luke 16:13 "No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth."

In today's church circles, norminal church goers do not easily discern the prevalent mammonic spirit that rules the church community. There is a disguised - very discreet indeed - form of mammon-worship! Everything surrounds money! Its about the CHURCH BUILDING, the pastor's CAR, its about CLOTHES the members wear in competition. Most church boards are made up of business people and high earners - a concept nicknamed 'simonary'. The 'fathers of the house' are backed up with mafia-style board members.
